Birdies Continued…

Here is the finsihed quilt…  Happy dance!  I had fun doing this but even though I’ve made many many quilts now, I totally underestimated how many hours it would take to do the applique and stitching of legs and all.  I’m really happy with the result though, and so is the recipient! 

I’m continuting to work on the Lil’ Miss Shabby Birdie Stitches blocks.  June is fun and interesting – it has the year recorded.  Good thinking. 

It will be a good year – the year my lovely middle child Amelia gets married.  We’re only a month off from the festivities and I’ve a lot to do.  I volunteered to make the wedding cake, and so am in a constant state of anxiety about that.  Pretty dumb I know.  I think it will be okay.

After she is a married woman I am a woman who has her own sewing room!
