Farmy Quilt Show

August 26, 2014

Buggy Barn Quilt Show_11aSaturday I had the happy experience of going to the Buggy Barn outdoor quilt show in Reardan, Washington. Amidst the difficulties, sorrows, and concerns of real life, a trip to this show is like a tonic. It was colorful and wonderful in all ways. My girlfriend Inger and I snapped dozens of photos for future reference, and made some fun basket (and need I say fabric) purchases.

Favorite quilt? This one, with amazing wool applique.Buggy Barn Quilt Show_21

Second runner up for fabulous was this one. Don’t you just love the label!?

Buggy Barn Quilt Show_19 Buggy Barn Quilt Show_18The only thing that didn’t go right was the plan to meet up with my Flickr pal Moni. Guess my phone coverage was less than adequate there. A shame, but we’ll try again.

The drive to and from this show was beautiful too. In case you haven’t noticed on my Flickr site, I’m in love with Washington State.

May your spool be endless,

What beautiful photos, Letty! The quilts look so amazing….I’ve only been to indoor quilt shows, seeing them outside on a lovely sunny day must be extra special. I also love that wool applique quilt, all the wonderful texture…and looks like some stunning detail work. I can see why you love where you live…thanks for sharing!

It’s funny, I saw this in my feed and my first thought was, “Ooh, Letty’s there, I wonder if she’s in the photos!” DUH! It’s your blog! (insert derp face here). I so wanted to go to that. I’ll put it on the list for next year.

That label is adorable! I have a thing for cute labels., I’m glad you got a good dose of “tonic” and came out with new, fresh ideas. Hugs!

    Letty,

Thank you so much for sharing. What fun! I’m also a freak for baskets. I’m always trying to find a place to put them, but at my age all my favorite things are starting to make me look like a hoarder….giggle.

    Glad you had some fun.

Yea, too bad we didn’t meet up. Darned technology! Anyway, it was a lovely day and a beautiful show, so I am glad I made the trip.
